POPS Worldwide and TV Asahi announce content partnership for Doraemon Japan’s most favorite animation on POPS Kids channel this August 2017

POPS Worldwide and TV Asahi have announced their collaboration on the first official release of Doraemon animation series in the digital market in Vietnam. At the same time, POPS Worldwide has also announced that POPS Kids is the very first YouTube channel in the world to be authorized to release Doraemon series on this digital platform.

In order to bring to Vietnamese audience many interesting premium international content, POPS Worldwide has partnered with many worldwide entertainment companies such as Turner (part of Warner Bros.) and Discovery to release content for local audiences. And TV Asahi Corporation is the next international partner in POPS Worldwide’s strategy to bring world-renowned programs to Vietnam.

TV Asahi’s release of Doraemon animation series on POPS Kids can be said to be a big innovation with this animated series. TV Asahi’s representative said that although it has been shown and conquered millions of audiences’ hearts on over the world for decades, Doraemon has just begun to enter the digital market. Mr. Takahiro Kishimoto, Head of Animation at International Business Department, TV Asahi Corporation said “We are so excited to start collaborating with POPS Worldwide and POPS Kids would be the world’s first YouTube Channel officially releasing Doraemon series with hundreds of episodes. In recent years, the exploding growth and significant revenue streams from digital market has made some big brands from TVs and media field such as TV Asahi, gradually step in. And their choice of partnership with POPS Worldwide in the first release of Doraemon series on POPS Kids partly reflects the growth of Vietnam’s digital market in Asia. Most highlighted series are the children music show namely Mam Choi La and series of cartoons from Boomerang. Continuing to be the only channel in Vietnam selected by TV Asahi to release Doraemon partly reflects the growth and influence of POPS Kids in the digital market.

By the end of March 2016, POPS Worldwide teamed up with Turner (part of Warner Bros.) to bring several Boomerang series on POPS Kids. Boomerang has had a very successful first year in Vietnam, contributing to the 2 billion YouTube lifetime views on POPS Kids. With the exclusive release of animated films with such world-renowned figures as Tom & Jerry, Ben 10 and The Powerpuff Girls, POPS Kids has proven its influence on kid’s content in the digital market. In the future, POPS Kids will welcome more famous cartoon characters and promises to become the destination for international cartoon characters.

Hundreds of Doraemon in Vietnamese dubbed episodes will be released in different times on POPS Kids during August and September 2017. With the simultaneous release of many episodes, Doraemon fans will be able to watch the episodes continuously without having to wait for the release schedule like previous episodes.
