POPS Comic continues to promote cooperation and support for Vietnamese authors

POPS shared a program to partner and support Vietnamese young artists and comic writers at Vietnam-Japan Comic Fes 2022 ogranised recently in Ho Chi Chi Minh City.

Considered as one of the biggest events for comic young lovers and gathering many famous people in this field, the festival attracted thousands of young artists, authors, and audience.

POPS Comic Art Director and beloved comic author Nguyen Huynh Bao Chau shared the challenges and opportunities of being an individual author.

“If you choose to write your own stories and post them on foreign websites, it will take you about one to two years to build a loyal readership, promote on social platforms, make your own copyright without any support from major media channels,” shared by the author of the popular comic series for youth Bad Luck.

“If after one or two years of hard work, the project still does not get good results, then it is considered a loss,” Ms Chau added. “However, the good point is that you have full control over your own copyright and mining rights.”

POPS representatives shared their insights with young authors, artists, and  audience at Vietnam-Japan Comic Fes 2022.

Presented at the event, POPS artists and authors also shared how to design a webtoon, develop it to movingtoons, technical issues, and image processing and promote it on different video platforms. 

Head of POPS Studio Ms Sally Truong shared POPS plans to collaborate with young authors and artists.

“POPS Comic will continue to partner with artists and freelance authors to publish their works on the POPS app & other platforms belongs to POPS eco-systems,”

“Their works not only reach out to Vietnamese readers, but also potential regional audience thanks to our POPS offices located in Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, and coming the Philippines.” Ms Sally said.

 

 

On the other hand, POPS announced the launch of the movingtoon version of the Vietnamese comic series titled Truyện Ma Sau 6 Giờ (Ghost story after 6pm) by young author Le Vu Kien Duy on the Halloween occasion in this October on POPS app and YouTube POPS Anime. Link teaser.
