Jakarta, Indonesia – POPS Worldwide has recently expanded its services into its latest market of Indonesia which promises to offer incredible opportunity and success. In order to help accomplish the potential of the region and reach its target, POPS has been recruiting some of the brightest minds in the country, and its 2 latest hires are a great addition to the team.
POPS Indonesia has found its Head of Brand & Ads Solutions Department, responsible for monetizing the region’s operation in Afla Zulfahmi, highly experienced in achieving profitability and long term success of digital platforms in the region. Meanwhile, the POPS Indonesia OTT platform will be led by the equally talented and experienced Deny Verianto.
Mr. Afla Zulfahmi – Heads of Brand & Ads Solutions Department
When asked about the opportunity, Mr. Zulfahmi said ‘POPS has built a powerful Video-on-demand streaming platform that is entering an exciting period of hypergrowth. The team’s expertise in OTT and Content is unparalleled, and I look forward to accelerating its revenue in Indonesia.’
Previously working as Market Analyst for Southeast Asia at Google, as well as leading growth and sales at Smaato, Mobilewalla, and even holding the title of Head of Ad Sales at HOOQ, Afla carries both the experience and the expertise to help POPS Indonesia strategically grow its profitability well into the future.
Having been involved in the digital media space since its inception with some of the world’s biggest companies, Afla brings leadership and experience working with advertisers and agencies which are invaluable for the cause of POPS Indonesia as it grows.
Similarly exceptional, Deny Verianto spent 11 years working in the telecommunications industry in roles ranging from engineer to consultant for products and solutions delivery. With the constant rise of new technologies though, he decided to adapt his engineering prowess to the digital entertainment industry where he worked at HOOQ from 2016 to 2020, during which time the growth and success of the company increased by 80%. With all this experience and success across the region, both new members bring tremendous value to the team.
Mr. Deny Verianto – Heads of OTT
Upon sharing his thoughts on his new role, Mr. Verianto added further that ‘There are three main ways to make a living in this business: be first, be smarter or cheat, and what I see from POPS Worldwide is a vision of being both first and smarter by combining multiple services into a single platform.’
With Deny, his involvement in all aspects of creation including his work in different industries has helped form an all-encompassing framework for how to tackle problems and overcome challenges. OTT is much more than simply VOD at POPS, and so his expertise in digital entertainment and product will help to ensure POPS Indonesia delivers the premium content POPS is known for in a variety of ways that are both adaptive and receptive to the behaviours of the market.
POPS Indonesia Country Manager – Zico Kemala Batin had this to say about their joining the team: ‘As we enter the most difficult and challenging market in SEA, we need to hire the best talent in the market, and Afla & Deny’s profiles speak for themselves. I believe with their contribution, POPS will have exponential growth and become the next big thing in Indonesia.’
