POPS Awards 2017 exploded with a series of spectacular performances

January 17, 2017, Hochiminh City – POPS Awards 2017 officially took place with the participation of more than 400 artists in various fields and more than 3000 fans.

The POPS Awards 2017 announced and honored 8 awards for artists, content creator groups and television broadcasters in the digital entertainment market in 2017:

A hard-working year with a series of projects, live shows, quality music products, Dam Vinh Hung deserves to be honored to become the owner of the award “Visionary Of The Year”. Besides, he is also the pioneer and elicited the trend to enjoy music for the audiences, while reviving the values of an old music through the live shows such as “Saigon Bolero & Hung”; the releasing of CD “Tinh Bo Vo” with a series of Bolero most popular songs, Bolero Music video “Thuong Han” attract millions of views, ….

For the first time, musician Mr. Siro performed at a big stage and he conquered the entire audience with a mashup of “Em Gai Mua”, “Yeu Mot Nguoi Vo Tam” and “Trai Tim Em Cung Biet Dau” duet with singer Bao Anh.

The award “Composer Of The Year” belongs to Mr.Siro – a musician with a year of exciting activities with a series of music works resonate with great influences to the public.

Once again, singer Bao Anh won the “Music Video Of The Year” award with an impressive number of 50,859,904 views in less than two months atfer being released.

With 52,270,780 views and 143,365 subscribers in 2017, Truong Giang Channel has passed two channels in the Top 3: Hoai Linh Channel (15,079,243 views) and Hai Anh Duc Channel (26,323,000 views) to deserve to become the owner of “Best Comedy Channel” award.

The “Best Entertainment Channel” award belonged to FAPTV channel with its 2017 growth view at 1,055,849,508 views. The remaining two entertainment channels in the Top 3 of this award also achieved impressive results: Ghien Mi Go Channel – 75,616,818 views and Monster NTN Channel – 622,016,017 views.

Recalling the youthful memories of many people, Dan Truong made the auditorium explode as the remix of the song was attached to his name: Di Ve Noi Xa, Mai Mai Mot Tinh Yeu, Tinh Khuc Vang.

A web-series project combining live music and nice choreography attracted millions of viewers on the day of its launch and hit the YouTube Play Silver button within less than a month. With 196,216,924 views and more than 870,000 followers, La La School – Hoc Vien Sieu Sao has won the “Breakthrough Entertainment Web-series” award.

The “Bolero Rising Star” award is given to young singer Quynh Trang, a new face with sweet voice, inspirational and popular to Bolero audiences. Quynh Trang’s total music videos in 2017 has exceeded 140 million views, an impressive number for a Bolero young singer.

Singer Ha Anh Tuan brings to the audience the song “Forever,” a very familiar song is written into Vietnamese lyric from the OST of the famous Korean film “Star In My Heart”.

Considered as a unique idea for digital music and a refreshing trend, the See Sing Share music show has garnered a lot of attention in the music industry with its remixed hit series in rustic and warm acoustic style. With more than 30.7 million views and contributed to an increase of 50 million views on the channel, Ha Anh Tuan’s See Sing Share music show received “Inspirational Music Show” award.

After four seasons, the POPS Awards has been redefining itself as a place to witness the colorful and exciting transformations of the digital entertainment market and has become one of the prestigious awards. It influences the artists, the content creators, the media and their partners. The award is also a stepping stone for talented individuals and groups to come closer to the public through modern means of entertainment.

POPS Awards 2017 has closed with many emotions from the awards and great performances on the stage. This year, the program is hosted by comedian Truong Giang.
