POPS Comic is looking for a creative and passionate writer to join our team, focusing on crafting compelling comic scripts.
This role plays a key part in developing engaging, meaningful stories that resonate with readers.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Comic Scriptwriting & Story Development

  • Develop comic scripts from concept to completion, including dialogue, character emotions, and scene descriptions.
  • Apply a strong understanding of comic storytelling techniques, panel structure, pacing, and emotional delivery through both text and visuals.
  • Create engaging and original storylines that align with the brand’s tone and target audience.
  • Demonstrate a solid grasp of comic language, including visual rhythm, expressions, and transitions.
  • Collaborate with editors, artists, and production teams to ensure consistency and effectiveness in story execution.
  • Proactively track your progress and coordinate effectively with team members to meet deadliness
  • Perform well the tasks assigned by the direct superior
  • Inform the direct superior of potentials and problems in the implementation process
  • Continuously update new trends and campaigns about products in the same industry or related competitors and share internally.

Internal Collaboration & Industry Updates

  • Carry out tasks assigned by your direct supervisor efficiently and on time.
  • Report challenges and suggest ideas or improvements during the script development process.
  • Stay up to date with market trends, genres, and competitors’ works; regularly share relevant insights and inspiration with the team.

JOB REQUIREMENT:

  • Passion for comic storytelling, pop culture, and visual media.
  • Excellent creative writing and script formatting skills.
  • Strong understanding of comic structure, pacing, paneling, and emotional flow.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Effective communication skills and openness to feedback exchange.
  • Highly responsible, with strong time and task management abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges.
  • Will receive training on internal comic production processes, quality standards, and tools.
