Winner found for “Talented scriptwriter 2019” contest (Nha Bien Kich Tai Nang 2019)

Overcoming nearly 4,500 competitors, the script “The Mission of death” (Phi vụ xác chết) won the first prize at the “Talented scriptwriter 2019” (Nha Bien Kich Tai Nang 2019) contest organized by CGV and POPS. 

 The third season of the “Talented script writer” (Nha Bien Kich Tai Nang 2019) contest was conducted by CGV, Center for Media Literacy and Education (CML – Korea) and POPS Worldwide, with the companion of Xinê House Cinema Training Center & Company, Truong Giang Communications is looking for Vietnamese talented scriptwriters. The coaching staffs of this year’s competition are the well-known directors, producers, writers: Charlie Nguyen, Phan Gia Nhat Linh, Nguyen Quang Dung, Ly Hai, producer Tran Thi Bich Ngoc and Tran Khanh Hoang. The total prize value is up to 600 million VND.

After more than 4 months, on 19th September, the top 12 of Nha Bien Kich Tai Nang 2019 contest presented their script ideas in front of the top famous producers in Vietnam. The ceremony took place on 20th September, at CGV Hoang Van Thu, Ho Chi Minh city.

The organizers said the top 12 best scriptwriting contesters were refined from nearly 4,500 ideas that have received great attention from the producers. These were a discussion on producing a film. CGV will continue to accompany with the contestants and producers throughout this process.

 Nguyen Tan Nhat said that he was very surprised and happy when he received the gold prize in the competition. This is an important milestone on his journey to become a professional writer in the future. “The competition helps young passionate writers like me to nurture knowledge, get more skills and have chances to connect with professional filmmakers. Director Phan Gia Nhat Linh – my coach was enthusiastic in supporting, consulting and sharing many valuable experiences about scriptwriters in particular movies in general for us in the past.” he shared.

The mission of death (Phi vụ xác chết) follows the accident of three thieves who discovered a dead body of the house owner. To escape the crime scene and prove their innocence, they must win a battle of wits with the real killer before dawn.

Nguyen Tan Nhat won the gold prize with 60 million (VND) and many other valuable gifts

 Two contestants receiving the silver and bronze prizes are Nguyen Dinh Minh Vu with The strange mourning (Tang gia kỳ lạ) and Do Vi Tien with Rapant (Dạ quỷ). Besides, two prospect prizes were given to Lam Trung Hieu with the script The fight of father and son-in-law (Bố vợ đại chiến rể quý) and Ta Thanh Hoa Phuong with When cop as a mother (Siêu cớm làm mẹ).

Director Nguyen Quang Dung – a member of the judges highly appreciate the talent and creativity of candidates.
